Introduction
FloLogic, Inc., a North Carolina corporation (“FloLogic,” the “Company,” “us,” or “we”), respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (“Policy“). This Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information whether offline, through the FloLogic website located at https://FloLogic.com (“Site“), when you download, install, register, access, or use the FloLogic Leak Detection & Auto Water Shutoff System (“Product“), through the FloLogic mobile application and any other available mobile device applications used in connection therewith, whether available through mobile, tablet, browser-based, PC-based, or smart device-based systems and interfaces (together with all related documentation, the “App”), and the software and functionality contained in the Product or any other interface device used in connection therewith (collectively, the “Service”, and together with the Site, Product and the App, the “Covered Websites”).
This policy applies to information we collect:
- On or through the Covered Websites.
- In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Covered Websites.
It does not apply to information collected by:
- Us through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party (including the Company’s affiliates);
- Any third party (including the Company’s affiliates), including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through the Covered Websites; or
Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not download, install, register with, or otherwise use the Covered Websites. By accessing or using the Covered Websites, you confirm that you have read, understand, and acknowledge the terms of this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Covered Websites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates. Each time that you access and use the Covered Websites you are (a) certifying the accuracy of your representations and warranties made herein and in every document incorporated herein by reference, and (b) acknowledging and agreeing to be bound by the covenants herein and in every document incorporated herein by reference.

Individuals Under the Age of 18
The Covered Websites are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information (personal or otherwise) to or on the Covered Websites. We do not knowingly collect information (personal or otherwise) from individuals under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on the Covered Websites or through any of its features, register on the Covered Websites, make any purchases through the Covered Websites, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Covered Websites, or provide any information about yourself to us. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from an individual under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It
We collect several types of personal information from and about users of the Covered Websites, including:
- Contact information and other identifiers, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, account username and password, and any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline. For example, you may provide us this information when registering for the Covered Websites;
- Commercial, customer records, and preference information, such as data regarding your purchase history, details of your transactions, information regarding fulfillment of your orders, purchase preferences, water usage data;
- Personal property insurance information, including the name of your insurance carrier, details about the policy you have, your policy number, and other information related to such insurance policy;
- Location information, which may be automatically collected using your precise GPS location when you access or register for the Covered Websites. We may also collect general location information using your zip code or postcode and IP address;
- Demographic information like your ethnicity, sex, gender, birth date, age, language spoken, disability, housing status, household size, household type, family members, and marital status;
- Information that is about you but individually does not identify you;
- Device, internet, and network activity information such as the browser, device, and operating system you are using, signal strength, device identifiers, MAC address, and your IP address. We might collect information at the site you came from, or the site you visit when you leave us. We may collect and record page and app interaction information and other electronic communications and content from your use of the Covered Websites (such as content entry, mouse movements, screen captures, the date, time, and location of your visit, what areas of the Covered Websites you visit and for how long, what search terms or other data you enter, and what products or content or links you view and click on), and methods used to browse away from the page. If you use our App, we may also look at how often you use the App and where you downloaded it. We may also embed technologies (which may include, for example, web beacons, tags, and pixels) in the emails and other communications we or our vendors send to you to help us understand how you interact with those messages, such as whether and when you opened a message or clicked on any content within the message; and
- Using the other pieces of information collected about you, we may draw inferences about you, reflecting what we believe to be your preferences, characteristics, predispositions, and attitudes.
We may also collect information about you through affiliates, business partners, authorized representatives, advertising networks, data analytics providers, social networks, Internet service providers, operating systems and platforms, government entities, public databases, data brokers, and vendors and service providers who provide services on our behalf.
We collect this information:
- Directly from you when you provide it to us.
- Automatically as you navigate through or interact with the Covered Websites.
Information You Provide to Us
The information we collect on or through the Covered Websites may include:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on the Covered Websites. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Covered Websites, subscribing to receive more information from Company and/or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with the Covered Websites.
- Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses) if you contact the Company.
- Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
- Details of transactions you carry out through the Covered Websites and of the fulfillment of your orders.
- Details about your home’s architecture and plumbing system.
- You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Covered Websites, or transmitted to other users of the Covered Websites or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other users of the Covered Websites with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions.
Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies
When you download, access, navigate through, interact with, or otherwise use the Covered Websites, we may use data collection technologies to automatically collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:
- Details of your visits to the Covered Websites, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Covered Websites.
- Information about your mobile device, computer or internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type, mobile network information, and the device’s telephone number.
- Data from the Product’s sensors and system, including but not limited to alarms, notifications, user preferences, settings, and user actions. The Product’s sensors collect data such as current flow rate, temperature, and pressure rate of your water system. This helps the Product protect your home and detect leaks. Information about leaks, notifications or alarms delivered through the Products or otherwise through Covered Websites, including but not limited to data related to automatic water shutoff events, and any actions you take in response to those notifications are also collected. We may share this data with third parties, including third parties that you authorize to receive such data by the terms of this Policy or otherwise.
- Other data collected by the Product via third party systems you’ve authorized the Product to communicate with.
- Direct adjustments to the Products or otherwise to the Covered Websites, including modifications or settings.
- Technical information from the Products, including, without limitation, model number, serial number, and software version.
- System data obtained by the Products or otherwise through the Covered Websites from third party systems, including security alarms, irrigation systems, water heaters, water conditioners and other water related appliances.
- We may request, and you may grant, access to certain mobile device functions, such as SMS, and precise location (non-continuous) in connection with your use of the Covered Websites (see Device Permissions for Information Access).
- Metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your devices.
- Real-time location information about the location of your device.
We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking).
Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” (“DNT”) signals to mobile applications with which the user communicates. These features are not all uniform. We currently do not change our tracking practices in response to DNT settings in your web browser.
We may use cookies, pixels, tags, and other similar tracking mechanisms to automatically collect information about browsing activity, type of device and similar information within the Covered Websites and to target advertising and content across the Covered Websites and third-party sites and services. We leverage data collected automatically to helps us improve the Covered Websites and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:
- Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
- Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Covered Websites according to your individual interests.
- Speed up your searches.
- Recognize you when you return to the Site.
- Analyze and understand how users access, use, and interact with others through the Covered Websites.
- Identify and resolve bugs and errors in the Covered Websites.
- Assess, secure, protect, optimize, and improve the performance of the Covered Websites.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
- Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the Site or App. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to the Site or App. For information about managing your privacy and security settings for cookies, see “Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information.”

- Web Beacons. Pages of the Site, the App and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Covered Websites are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Covered Websites. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. Device Permissions for Information Access
Depending on your specific device, the Covered Websites may request certain permissions that allow them to access your device information as described below. By default, these permissions must be granted by you before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by you at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, you may refer to the device settings or contact the Company as provided for herein. The exact procedure for controlling permissions may be dependent on your device and software. Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of the Covered Websites. If you grant any of the permissions listed below, the respective information may be processed (i.e. accessed to, modified or removed) as described herein.
- Phone permission
Used for accessing a host of typical features associated with telephony. This enables, for instance, read-only access to the “phone state”, which means it enables access to the phone number of the device, current mobile network information, Wi-Fi network, or the status of any ongoing calls.
- Precise location permission (non-continuous)
Used for accessing your precise device location. The Covered Websites may collect, use, and share your location information in order to provide location-based services.
- SMS permission
Used for accessing features related to your messaging including the sending, receiving and reading of SMS.
- Phone address book
The Company allows users to add additional users to control the Product. For convenience, you can select these users from your device’s contact address book. When a user indicates they wish to add an additional user to control the Product by providing such additional user’s email address, an invitation email is generated and automatically sent to the additional user.
How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to:
- Deliver the Covered Websites and their contents to you.
- Provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
- Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
- Provide you with notices about your account.
- Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
- Notify you about changes or updates to the Covered Websites.
- Provide, develop, evaluate, and improve the Covered Websites.
- Help us make sales, marketing, and business decisions and carry out research.
- Allow us to test, develop, analyze, improve, and provide the Covered Websites and other products and services.
- Help us run our day-to-day operations and otherwise enable you to use the Covered Websites and their features functionality.
- Communicate with you and respond to your requests or questions.
- Carry out marketing and promotional activities.
- Allow you to participate in interactive features on the Covered Websites.
- In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
- Comply with our obligations, including legal obligations, or to administer the Covered Websites, including to troubleshoot or perform data analysis.
- For security, safety, compliance, and due diligence purposes. For example, we may use your information to protect our company, customers, business partners and their respective personnel. We may also use your information to protect the Covered Websites, as well as to detect and investigate activities that may be fraudulent, or otherwise illegal or prohibited (such as cybersecurity events or fraudulent transactions). We may also use information as may be necessary to facilitate a corporate transaction with a third party, such as a merger or acquisition.
- For any other purpose with your consent.
We may also use your information to contact you about the Company’s own and third-parties’ goods and services that may be of interest to you. We may also use the information we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, to comply with certain user data sharing agreements between certain insurance carriers and the Company. Such insurance carriers may use such information, including information related to access and/or use of the Covered Websites for, among other things, the purpose of underwriting property insurance policies and monitoring compliance with the terms and conditions of such property insurance policies. To facilitate the use of information as provided for in this paragraph, users may be prompted to enter certain information regarding their insurance carrier(s) through the App, and through any other means as may be established by the Company from time to time.
Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this Policy to:
- Our subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Contractors, vendors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
- A buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of FloLogic, Inc.’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by FloLogic, Inc. about the users of the Covered Websites is among the assets transferred.
- Third parties to market their products or services to you if you have not opted out of these disclosures.
- Third parties, such as insurance carriers or home warranty providers, for purposes of monitoring the status of the Product and your usage of the Covered Websites. Such insurance carriers may use such information, including information related to access and/or use of the Covered Websites, including the Product and App, for, among other things, the purpose of underwriting property insurance policies and monitoring compliance with the terms and conditions of such property insurance policies. To facilitate the disclosure of information as provided for in this paragraph, users may be prompted to enter certain information regarding their insurance carrier(s) through the Covered Websites, and through any other means as may be established by the Company from time to time. Fulfill the purpose for which you provide it, including those purposes disclosed in the Policy.
- For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
- With your consent.
We may also disclose your personal information:
- To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
- To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including the Product Terms of Service and End User License Agreement found at https://www.flologic.com/product-terms-of-service-andeula/, our Terms of Use found at https://www.flologic.com/website-terms-and-conditions/, or Terms and Conditions for Online Sale found at https://www.flologic.com/web-terms-of-sale/] and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
- If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of FloLogic, Inc., our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
- Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can control certain cookies and tracking tools. To set your cookie preferences, please check update your browser settings to refuse all or some browser cookies as some browsers may allow you to do so. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this Site may then be inaccessible or not function properly. Keep in mind that the cookies used on our various Covered Websites will differ and you will need to set your preferences on each Covered Website you are using. To control the collection of your precise location on your mobile device, you can adjust the settings on your mobile device, such as by disabling location services.
- Disclosure of Your Information for Targeted Advertising or Third-Party Advertising. We and third-party advertising networks, social media companies (e.g., Meta f/k/a Facebook, X f/k/a Twitter, Google+), and other services may collect information about your use of the Covered Websites over time so that they or we may display interest-based advertising using information gathered about you over time across multiple websites or other platforms. If you do not want us to share your personal information with unaffiliated or non-agent third parties for promotional purposes, you can opt-out by sending us an email with your request to [email protected] or calling 877-356-5644. We also use Google Analytics to better understand how our users interact with the Covered Websites and we may use Google Analytics Advertising Features for advertising and marketing purposes. You can learn about Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/ and manage the information collected through Google Analytics Advertising Features through the settings on the relevant browser or device being used.
- Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your contact information used by the Company to promote our own or third parties’ products or services via email or text, please follow the instructions provided in the message you get from us. For emails, use the unsubscribe button that can be found at the end of the email. If you receive a promotional text message from us, you may opt out by replying “STOP”. In addition, you can opt-out by sending us an email with your request to [email protected] or by calling 877-356-5644. Please note, even if you opt out of getting marketing or promotional messages from us, we will still send you transactional messages related to your use of the Covered Websites, including responses to your questions.
Residents of certain states, such as California, Nevada, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Utah may have additional personal information rights and choices. Please see the “Your U.S. State Privacy Rights” Section for more information.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia provide their state residents with certain rights related to the processing of their personal information. Please see below what rights are available to you if you reside in one of those states and what the process is for exercising those rights.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, please note the following regarding how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information as described in this Policy, including in the previous 12 months:
We may collect, use, and disclose for our business and commercial purposes, categories of personal information as set forth in applicable California law, including: Identifiers; payment and customer records information; characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (such as demographic information like age, gender, and disability); commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity information; geolocation data; inferences; and sensitive personal information. See the “Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It” Section above for additional detail.
We collect and use these categories of personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” Section of this Policy.
We collect these categories of personal information from the sources described in the “Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It” Section of this Policy.
We may disclose each of the foregoing categories of personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” Section of this Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law to the categories of parties as described in the “Disclosure of Your Information” Section of this Policy.
We may “sell” or “share” categories of personal information, including: Identifiers; payment and customer records information; characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law; commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity; geolocation data; and inferences. We may “sell” or “share” these categories of Personal Information to the categories of third parties described in the “Disclosure of Your Information” Section of this Policy for the purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” Section of this Policy.
We may collect, use, and disclose for our business and commercial purposes described in the “Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It” Section of this Policy the following “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act): username and password; and precise geolocation.
We keep personal information as long as it is necessary or relevant for the practices described in this Policy, including, for example, for legal compliance, dispute resolution, contract enforcement, backup, archival, and other internal operations purposes. We also keep information as otherwise required by law.
If you are a California resident, you can make the following requests with respect to their personal information:
- Access – You can request that we disclose to you the categories of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected the personal information, the categories of personal information we sold, shared, or disclosed, our business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling or sharing the personal information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed the personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
- Deletion – You can request that we delete your personal information that we maintain about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Correct – You can request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Limit the Use/Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information – You can request that we limit the use or disclosure of your sensitive personal information to those purposes set forth in applicable California law, subject to certain exceptions.
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information – You can request that we not sell or share your personal information. For purposes of this Section, “sell” means the sale of your personal information to an outside party for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “share” means the disclosure of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, subject to certain exceptions set forth in applicable California law. Please note that if you make a request to opt out of sale or share and you would like to opt out of cookie-based tracking for behavioral advertising purposes, please follow the instructions in the “Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information” Section of this Policy or broadcast an opt-out preference signal recognized by the Company, such as a Global Privacy Control signal, on browsers or browser extensions that support such a signal. Your selections are specific to the device, website, and browser you are using. Your selections are deleted whenever you clear your cookies or browser’s cache. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 18 years of age.
FloLogic will not discriminate against you because you made any of these requests.
California residents can make these requests by emailing us at [email protected] or by calling us at 877-356-5644. We may deny certain requests, or fulfill a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations. For example, we may retain personal information as permitted by law, such as for tax or other record keeping purposes, to maintain an active account, and to process transactions and facilitate customer requests. Except as otherwise provided by applicable California law, note that for purposes of these requests under this Section, personal information does not include information we have collected as a service provider to our clients.
We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your requests. For example, we may utilize a third-party verification provider to assist with verifying your identity. The verification steps may vary depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and whether you have an account with us.
California residents may designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf. When submitting the request, please ensure the authorized agent is identified as an authorized agent. We may reach out to you to confirm that the authorized agent has the authority to act on your behalf.
If you reside in California, you also have the right to ask us one time each year if we have disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make a request, please send us an email, or write to us at the address listed in the Contact Us Section below. Indicate in your letter that you are a California resident making a “Shine the Light” inquiry.
Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah or Virginia, you may make certain requests with respect to your personal information in accordance with applicable law, including:
- Access Confirmation, Deletion, Correction Requests: Subject to exceptions under the law, you may request that we confirm whether we process your personal information, and you may further request access to, or deletion of, your personal information. You may also request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
- Opt-Out of Sale: You may request to opt-out of the “sale” (as defined in applicable state law) of your personal information.
- Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising: We may use personal information obtained from or in connection with your activities across unaffiliated sites to send more relevant advertising to you. You can request that we stop using your personal information for such targeted advertising.
To exercise your Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah or Virginia privacy rights, residents can make these requests online by emailing us at [email protected] or by calling us at 877-356-5644.
We may “sell” certain categories of personal information in the “Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It” Section. We may “sell” these categories of personal information to the categories of parties described in the “Disclosure of Your Information” Section of this Policy, including for the advertising, promotional, and other purposes described in the “How We Use Your Information” Section of this Policy. For purposes of this Section, “sell” means the sale of your personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, subject to certain exceptions set forth in applicable Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon and Texas laws. Please note that if you would like to opt-out of sales or targeted advertising through certain cookie-based tracking for advertising purposes, you will need to separately request to opt-out or by broadcasting an opt-out preference signal recognized by the Company, such as a Global Privacy Control signal, on browsers or browser extensions that support such a signal. Your selections are specific to the device, website, and browser you are using. Your selections are deleted whenever you clear your cookies or browser’s cache.
We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your requests. The verification steps will vary depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and whether you have an account with us. If you are a resident of Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon or Texas, you may designate an agent to submit an opt-out of sale and opt-out of targeted advertising request on your behalf. Proof to verify your identity and the authorized agent’s authority to submit requests on your behalf are required, or we may deny the request. We use commercially reasonable efforts to authenticate your identity and the authorized agent’s authority through the written documentation provided in connection with the opt-out request in accordance with this Policy. We may deny certain requests, or fulfil a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations. If you are a resident of Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas or Virginia and are not satisfied with the outcome of your request, you may submit an appeal by sending an email to [email protected] with “Data Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
Note that for purposes of these requests under this Section, personal information does not include information about job applicants, employees and other of our personnel; information about employees and other representatives of third-party entities we may interact with; or information we have collected as a service provider to our clients.
